1. "Reliable source" and "best price" are unfortunately almost always two separate entities. Reliable source: dell.com...cost: $299 Best Price: ebay.com...cost: $59.49 Dell batteries usually have a one-year warranty, regardless of how long your computer's warranty is.
2. Mines broke around last year, i have the same kind of laptop. I'm not sure if you got the contract with your laptop, but when mines broke i called Dell and they sent me a new one for free and all i had to do was send the old one back in the box it was sent to me in. "If not, you should purchase it from dell. That's if yours is broke. Try maybe ebay if that doesn't work out.
