Laptop fan is on the side. Should I buy a laptop cooler that blows air under or on the side as well?
Or does it make a difference if the fan of laptop is on the side and the cooler blows on the side as well?

- Laptops get hot, even with the fan on the side. If you gona use the laptop for long hours, buying a cooler that sits underneath the laptop is wise choice, not only it cools the laptop but also keeps it running well and saves on battery power and less damage to hardware due to heat.
- I have laptop coolers for both my laptops, they aren't really necessary as long as you allow plenty of ventilation to get underneath your laptop..The biggest problem is people taking their laptops to bed and wonder why they overheat cause they sit them on their bed for hours on end ...Just make sure the vents, on the bottom of laptop aren't blocked for long periods...There are some laptop coolers on sale at Play.com and Amazon which are pretty cheap
- I think you'd better buy another model with a more efficient cooling system. Indeed, blowing the air this way would result in overloading your laptop with dust... and we all know computers hate dust! So, if your finance are comfortable, I'd suggest to purchase a laptop having: . CPU with good thermic quality . an efficient cooling system Obviously, choosing renouned constructors would prevent you from surprises as well... :) Hope that helps.
