- Do not directly place ur laptop on bed or table. Put a copy or something like this under it. The heat of laptop comes out from its under surface. So if u will keep some copy under it, it will be properly ventilated out and the heating can be greatly reduced. U can then use it anywhere ( even on bed or table ), but dont forget to place something beneath it to let hot air pass out. :)
- Well just putting a book or similar item under it will help the computer vent out the heat. It is important not to cover up the cpu fans and other outlets on your laptop in order to avoid overheating the thing and possibly killing your comp. There are also slim cooling pads that will greatly help keep your comp cool and aren't too obtrusive. I've given a couple of sites to check out what I am talking about.
- My friend's dad bought her this laptop cooler, and its basically just two fans inside a plastic holder type thing,it's really skinny (you place it right underneath the laptop) and it has a USB cord that plugs into the laptop for power (to move the fans) it actually works and I don't think it costs that much. Also, you could try not having the bottom of the laptop completely covered, so that the heat from the battery can escape instead of welling up on the bottom surface of the laptop. (This is what I do with mine) Hope it helps :]
- Laptop manufactured in such a way that head has to gone via its bottom and side (CPU). If you don't have the possibiltity to place it on a plane surface, can you please fit a flat cardboard or such kind of plate in such a way that heat can be vent out. no other possibiltiy. I use a newspaper in between before putting it on my lap! agreed :)
- A laptop is not a "laptop". You really shouldn't put it on your lap, or anything thats not a hard surface for long. The fan pulls air from the bottom and blows it out the side or back. If you plug that up with your cloths or blanket.. it will heat up. If it heats up on a hard surface.. your fan is probably clogged. Get a can of compressed air and blow the fan out. Do it from the bottom where the fan is and aim it towards the outlet.
