ATI Graphics card, with these computer specs...?
I asked a question earlier about me trading my new laptop for a custom built desktop, and a few people asked me about a video card, and I didnt know if it had one, and what brand. Well, it has an ATI card, and here are the specs of the computer: -Sagitta Case with multi fans and see through side panels -20x dual layer light scribe dvd burner with nero 7 -new amd5000 dual core processor has 4 gigs of memory with the heat shields -axus dual core motherboard with hdmi port -470 power supply -320 gig sata harddrive the board is all sata and also has ide if u want -Vista Ultimate -software disk for the motherboard dvd burner office etc. Is that a good trade for my laptop? Here are my laptop specs: -Gateway Laptop -Intel Pentium Dual Core T2330 @ 1.6GHz -Windows Vista Premium -2GB RAM -160GB Hard drive -15.4 in screen So, for the final time, I promise, is this a good trade? I know I've asked 3 times now, but I really, really want to be sure I'm making a good decision. Thank you all!!!!

- that looks like a good trade. but are you trading a laptop for a desktop? though your porcessor is powerful and 4 gigs of ram!! sounds like a great gaming computer to me
- I think it would be, only one thing in my opinion I do not care for, the ATI video card. I have had troubles from the drivers for ATI cards before and ended up just switching over to Nvidia. Nvidia is usually a little higher priced but generally is a better card as far as drivers go but still great cards for playing some hardcore games with. ATI cards are good as well, just have bad drivers.
- The specs you give for the desk top are very nice and I say you should do the deal. It really would be best to still check out the model number of your new ATI so there are no surprises. Here is an article that will tell you about it. http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/08/06/the_best_gaming_video_cards_for_the_money/
- Whooaaa. I thought you were trading your desktop for the laptop. Other way around? Yes. I'd say it's a good trade. I'd do it if I were you. Any which way, you can always upgrade a desktop....Laptop upgrades are few and far between. Although I'm not a fan of AMD's current lineup and I didn't see a model of the ATI video card in your description, it's still a good deal. That and (no offense) but Gateway laptops are more bell and whistle than solid machinery.
