Laptop Heat

where is a good place a in a onebedroom apartment to keep a laptop, printer and other computer accessories at?

i want to move my laptop. it isnt' wireless. i also have printer, speakers to laptop and a small computer desk. i have in right now on my dining room table, but with the printer and speakers in here, it is getting too junkie. where is a good place i can keep it besides my dining room table?
