Do high end cpu and graphics card on a laptop heat up easily?
For example if i was to get an intel core 2 duo extreme X9000 (2.8 ghz) and like an 8800m gtx will it heat up my laptop easily and if so what solutions are there?

- If you were to get those specifications on your laptop it would normally get hot under some circumstances. I would say to put that type of high end hardware your manufacturer would put a higher end cooling system. It would be around the same temperature as a lower end laptop with adequate cooling.

- All lap tops run hot, would suggest buying a good lap top cooling pad. I use the Lapcool 2, it has two adjustable cooling fans and reduces the heat about 20 to 30 %. The cooler you keep any computer the better for the electronics. I also use a Targus brand cooler on my home lap top, do not like as well as the Lapcool 2. Hope this helps.
- the faster the stuff goes the hotter it will get. Just be sure to use the laptop on a flat surface, and check into heat sinks or a cooling fan for the cpu
