laptop heat bad for you??

my mom always tells me to keep my laptop off of my lap. she says that the radiation and heat will lower and/or kill my sperm count. i have a macbook which i use for everything... it does get pretty hot on the bottom, and i feel the warmth in my lap... is this truly bad for me? or do i just have a worry wort mom who is scared her grandchildren will have 5 eyes?

1. well i've heard about that in my health class before that you really arent supposed to put a laptop on your lap...but who knows if it actaully has any merit to it. Just set it on a table.

3. no its really true. it does lower ur sperm count and after a certain period of time u become unfertile. its pretty bad. even cellphones are bad. especially for males. they say that males should not put their cell phone in their pocket by their dick. because of the same reason. radiation.
4. Yes, it is true. Heat does cause decrease in sperm count and quality. But I am not sure about the granchildren having 5 eyes. So a laptop is not really a laptop, keep it on a table in front of you and use it!
5. Heat can have an affect on sperm count. Keep your laptop on a desk or table. If you want to use it in bed, get one of those little trays that has legs that can go over your lap, or put the computer next to you.
6. Don't leave it on your lap, or on any soft surfaces. If it gets unusually hot or overheats a lot, get a can of compressed air (You can probably find it in the office supplies section) and spray it inside the 'fan' area of your laptop.
7. Laptop heat is also bad for your laptop. Overheating and lack of ventilation can cause damage to your machine Buy a laptop cooling fan and use it if your going to work from your lap. It will significantly improve the performance of your machine and it will keep you safe from the heat if your worried about it
