Does Laptop cooler fan make noise?

Hi, I have bought my first laptop to replace old desktop computer. I run it using AC power instead of battery. It is ok, but, the cooler fan of this laptop run several times in hour and make little usual noise. Is it normal? Please let me know from your personal experience!

1. Yes. Unless it sounds like a bee buzzing and last for a lot long then a few minutes.
2. some do and some dont. could be hitting against something also. laptop cd roms makes loud noises when there is a cd in it
3. Yes, it is completely normal. My laptop fan is on for 50 minutes every hour even when the computer is cool. That will probably really prevent it from overheating. Most laptops turn the fan on for about 10 minutes and go off for 5 minutes before continuing again.
